Overlooking Lake Turkana, all of our houses are dotted high up on the hill right next to your co-working space. Each house is equipped with tables for you to work from home for the day, and a mini kitchen complete with a sink and fridge for light meals. Mesh windows with dune palm blinds let the breeze through and local goods adorn the rooms with a homely atmosphere. If you see something you like, we can source it for you from our eco-store or through local artisans in the surrounding villages.
After accommodation, everything is opt-in/out:
The monthly pricing can also include a laundry service by our staff by hand. Temperatures come close to 40 degrees, so clothes come out just as clean as from a machine!
You can also have access to the kitchen services which provide you with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meals are prepared using locally-sourced products, some even coming from our greenhouse. The region being quite desertic does make the meals less diverse and simple.
We have created co-working spaces within our campus where you can go to network or work in a dynamic environment. The building is created to promote as much wind, giving it a ventilated feel and making the working conditions comfortable. The furniture is still rather basic but is being developed with time.
We’ve got 4G internet with routers in the co-working space and in each house. Just purchase a sim at the airport when you arrive and opt for cheap data bundles. We’ve reduced the cost of the co-working space to reflect this. The 4G must be bought but is relatively cheap in order to ensure good bandwidth on campus. Safaricom has built a new booster tower right next to campus which makes for reliable data reception.
